How DCB can help you with your Producer Responsibilities Obligations!

How DCB can help you with your Producer Responsibilities Obligations!

The Producer Responsibilities Obligations Regulations (2007) places an obligation on certain businesses to recover and recycle a certain amount of packaging. This applies to businesses with an annual turnover exceeding 2 million, who handle over 50 tonnes of packaging annually.

Companies affected are obligated to register as a packaging producer with an environmental regulator, meet their recycling obligation and provide evidence of their compliance. Businesses are required to work with recycling companies at considerable cost.

The obligations do not apply to companies who buy 'used' packaging. Therefore if you buy USED cardboard boxes for your packaging you will not only save money on your packaging costs, but also reduce your producer obligation costs.

Join our Reuse Revolution to meet your producer obligations and reduce your packaging costs!

For further details check out: Producer Responsibilities Obligations. See section 4 (2) (b) (i) and (iv).
